Alex is a highly motivated and results-driven business professional with a strong foundation in finance and operations. He holds a BBA from Memorial University and is currently pursuing his MBA at Dalhousie University. In his role at Aon, he specializes in insurance and risk management, where he has gained a deeper understanding of the diverse and complex risks that businesses and projects face. This experience has enhanced his ability to assess vulnerabilities, develop effective risk mitigation strategies, and optimize business operations. Glen is a dynamic business consultant with a strong foundation in financial analysis, financial technology, sales, and accounting. His educational background, including a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University and the Canadian Securities Course Certification, has equipped him with a strong foundation of knowledge that he is eager to broaden during his time in Dalhousie’s MBA program. In his current role as a Relationship Manager with RBC’s Commercial Financial Services, Glen has developed a strong understanding of risk management and lending practices. His time with RBC has prepared him to help businesses optimize their financial structures, offering advice on short-term capital management and long-term sustainability. In his previous role as a Financial Sales Associate with Northwest & Ethical Investments (NEI), Glen utilized essential business technologies such as Salesforce and Capintel to effectively manage clientele, tracking key performance metrics and creating tailored solutions for NEI’s partners. In addition to his professional skills, Glen is passionate about maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle. In his personal time, he enjoys staying active through sports and exercise, as well as exploring his culinary expertise. For pleasure, he values spending quality time with friends and exploring the diverse cultures the world has to offer.

With a BSc in Kinesiology, minor in Human Nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University, he developed a deep understanding of data-driven performance, continuous improvement, and the connection between efficiency and sustainability. He applied this mindset as an operations analytics specialist in the manufacturing industry, leveraging principles from athletics and nutrition to enhance operational performance and business outcomes. Now an MBA candidate, Mac is focused on a career in healthcare consulting, continuous improvement, and project management. Matthew, a Halifax native, offers an analytical approach to real world business problems. Through his experience interning with RBC Commercial Banking and a keen interest in financial management, credit and lending, quantitative analysis, and financial strategy; Matthew brings tangible advice and solutions to small and medium sized businesses. Experienced in coaching and leading sports teams, Matthew strives to provide simple explanations of complex and ambiguous problems, helping clients to better understand and address challenges. Outside of the office, Matthew is a varsity athlete and community volunteer, where he consistently demonstrates the same commitment, discipline, and proactivity he brings to his clients’ projects.

Matthew is a creative thinker with a unique background that helps to solve complex, multi-faceted issues. His key areas of strength include leadership, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. Matthew is a native of Toronto but moved to the west coast to attend the University of Victoria. While there, Matthew completed a double major in environmental studies and geography. Additionally, Matthew competed for the varsity rowing team, winning a U Sports National Championship in 2023 and was elected team captain in his final two years with the team. Since arriving in Halifax Matthew has developed a keen interest in the financial and entrepreneurial world. His past roles include working for nonprofits, where he helped to coordinate fundraising efforts and secure federal, provincial, and municipal grants for the organization. Outside of work, Matthew is still involved in the local community and coaches part-time for the Halifax Rowing Club, enjoying giving back to the rowing community.
